POLO — Marion Martinmaas, 93, of Polo, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018, at the Faulkton Healthcare Center.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 29, at St. Liborius Catholic Church in Polo. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery at Polo. A liturgical wake will begin at 7 p.m. Friday with visitation one hour prior, all at the church.
Marion Francis was born March 16, 1925, near Polo to Emil and Francis (Cmejla) Kolda. She graduated from Fairview High School in 1943. She was united in mariage to Victor Martinmaas February 20, 1946. She was a member of St. Liborius Catholic Church of Polo, the Altar Society and the Polo-Orient Catholic Daughters of America.
She is survived by her children, Donna (LeRoy) Schaefers, Linda Leddy, Charles (Rosemary) Martinmaas, Marilyn Burckhard, and Kenneth (Theresa) Martinmaas; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Edward (Delores) Martinmaas; sisters-in-law, Agnes Kolda, Marge (Carl) Durfee, Bev Martinmaas, and Celesta Martinmaas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor; an infant son; brother, Joe; three sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and two great-grandchildren.
