LANE — Martin Moeller, 65 of Lane, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018, at Avera Queen of Peace hospital in Mitchell.
His funeral service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, April 5, at Welter Funeral Home in Huron with burial in Eventide Cemetery at Woonsocket. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. with family present at Welter Funeral Home.
Martin Moeller was born December 13, 1952, in De Smet to Henry and Stella (Maebrair) Moeller. As a child he grew up in Emery and moved to Alpena when he was 12. Martin helped his dad on the farm and learned the trade of taxidermy.
He was united in marriage to Mary Pflaum May 10, 1980. He  worked at the Jerauld County Courthouse for 26 years as a custodian while also doing carpentry and shingling. He enjoyed taxidermy and music as well as spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife; children, Billie Jo (Robin) Moeller of Wessington Springs, Christopher (Michelle) Moeller of Huron and Justin (Ana) Moeller of Alpena; six grandchildren, Brent Wallace, Ashlyn Lawler, Tiffany Lawler, Annalise Moeller, Anthony Moeller, and Kenzie Moeller; sisters, Ann Bickel of Spokane, Wash., and Martie Bellsaas of Springfield, Mo.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Doris Hanson, Carol Trebesch, Christine Hildebrand, and Dan Moeller.
