HURON — Mary Anne Nelson, 88, of Huron, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018, at the SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 30, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish with burial in the Riverside Cemetery at Huron. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Mary Anne Sikorra was born June 28, 1930, in Huron to Charles Albert and Pearl Barbara (Ebner) Sikorra. She graduated from Huron High School in 1948. She had worked for the Osborn’s Sales Office, the Rural Electric Agency Administration Office, her husband’s business, Bob Nelson Electric, and Huron Title and Deed Company. She was united in marriage to Robert J. Nelson September 9, 1950. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Huron.
She is survived by her children, Patrick (Jennifer) Nelson, of St. Paul, Minn., Carol (Rodney) Tompkins, of Huron, Roberta Rosenblum, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Kristine Nelson, of Lakeville, Minn.; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, Paul Nelson; and siblings, Charles F. Sikorra, and Carol Eckhardt.
