BROOKINGS — Mary “Elaine” Rahm, 91, of Brookings, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at The Neighborhoods in Brookings.  
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, July 7, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Turton. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield. A prayer service and rosary will follow at 7 p.m.
Mary Elaine Remily was born, November 10, 1926, in Doland to Julian and Myrtle (Fortin) Remily. She graduated from Doland High School in 1944. She was united in marriage to Russell Starr June 19, 1946. Following his untimely death, she worked at the Security State Bank in Doland until her marriage to Albert (Bert) Rahm May 16, 1949. She was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and Altar Society.  
She is survived by her children, Cheryl Rahm-McGrath of Sioux Falls, Carleen (Bruce) Dixon of Brookings, Curtis (Patty) Rahm of Turton, Carmen (Linda) Rahm of Kent, Wash., and Christopher Rahm of Aberdeen; siblings, Gladys Bowman of Inverness, Fla., Rachel Coats of Rapid City, Marvin Remily of Doland, and Maurice Remily of Rapid City; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.  
She was preceded in death by two infant brothers; and sisters,  Lila Miles, Lorene Haney, Dorothy Hagerty and Marvel Mann.
