MITCHELL— Michael James Meyers, 64 of Mitchell passed away October 2, 2019.
There will be a private memorial service at a later date, with interment at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis.
Mike Meyers was born October 7, 1954, to George and Elinor Meyers, in Huron. He later entered the United States Army, and served two tours in Germany. After being honorably discharged, he returned to Huron to live and work for over 20 years until he moved to Mitchell. He was employed with AKG Manufacturing in Mitchell at the time of his death.
Mike is survived by his brother, Randall (Kathy) Meyers of Hot Springs; sister, Lauri (Jason) Hoffmann of Sioux Falls; niece, Rebecca Meyers of Hot Springs; grand-nephew Sean Nau of Hot Springs; his maternal aunt Beverly Peck of Huron, SD; paternal uncle, Lyle Meyers of Huron; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
