Eighth grade drops two to Aberdeen
HURON — Aberdeen recorded sweep against the Huron eighth-grade girls’ basketball teams on Monday.
Aberdeen won the A-game 28-17.

Lennon Magness-Caudell led the Tigers with six points, while Claire Davis added five points. Reagan Bischoff, Maggie Storm and Piper DeJean each had two points.

Aberdeen emerged with a 20-13 victory in the B-game.

Kinsley Armstrong and Charleigh Brewer had five and four points, respectively, to lead Huron.

Seventh grade
Huron’s seventh-grade girls’ basketball teams split a pair of games against Aberdeen on Monday.

Behind 14 points from Jayla Schley, the Tigers won the A-game 21-16. Ramsey Rozell added seven points.
Aberdeen won the B-game 26-20.

Autumn Siedschlag had 16 points to lead Huron, while Jesse Mattke added four points.

Huron 8th grade GBB split with Mitchell
HURON - The Huron Tigers eighth-grade girls’ basketball team split a pair of games Tuesday with Mitchell at the Huron Middle School gym.

A late basket from Claire Davis with less than five seconds remaining gave the “A” squad a 21-20 victory over the Kernels. Davis propelled the Tigers to the victory with 12 points, 10 of which were scored in the second half.

Maggie Storm added six points, Piper DeJean bucketed two points, and Lennon Magness-Caudell added a free throw for Huron.

The “B” squad for Huron jumped out to an early lead, but couldn’t hold on, falling 14-12.

Kinsley Armstrong led the Tigers with six points, Charleigh Brewer scored four points, and Kayleigh Nicola added a bucket for Huron.
