Miller, Redfield-Doland athletes compete in Class A State Track Meet

In the Class “A” State Track and Field Meet on Friday in Spearfish, Miller’s Jarek Kindle tied for fourth place in the semi final round of the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.01.
 In the preliminary round of the 400-meter relay, the Miller boys’ qualified for semifinals with a 44.34 time run to take fourth place.

Seventh place was taken by the Miller Rustlers in the boys’ 800 meter relay preliminary rounds, after a 1:32.44 run.
In the girls’ preliminary round of the 100 meter hurdles, Kadye Fernholz qualified to advance in the competition with eighth place at a time of 15.99, while the Miller girls’ team placed 17th with a time of 11:45.25 in the 3,200 meter relay finals.
Other finishers include Miller’s Connor Bertsch with a time of 11:24.74, in the boys’ 3,200 meter run finals to take 18th place, followed by Dalton Howe of Redfield-Doland in 22nd with a total time of 11:47.85.
Redfield-Dolands’ Alex Cruz took 16th place in the boys’ discus finals with a 117-07 throw, Rylie Gall placed 14th in the final round of the girls’ triple jump event for the Pheasants with a distance of 32-11, while Miller’s Elise Brooks took 21st place in the final round of the discus event with a 89-00 throw.
