Missoula Children’s Theater plans to present ‘Gulliver’s Travels’ on Saturday

HURON — The Huron Middle School Drama Department and Missoula Children’s Theater will hold rehearsals for a musical, “Gulliver’s Travels,” from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, in the Huron High School Auditorium.
Students in kindergarten through eighth grade who are auditioning should arrive at 3:25 p.m. and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.
Rehearsals will be held from 3:30 to 8 p.m. each day at HHS Auditorium, with the musical to be presented at 3 and 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at HHS Auditorium.

Among the roles to be cast are Gulliver and his trusty computer JCN (Jason), the Giant King, Queen and Princess of Brobdingnag (Brab-ding-nag), a giant wasp, the maniacal scientist of Lapunta and his Robots, horses, yahoos and Aliens of Lilliput and Blefuscu.
Students in kindergarten through eighth grade are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary.
High school assistant directors will also be cast prior to Nov. 13 to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and help with backstage responsibilities.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup.
