HURON — The name of the 26-year-old Huron man injured in last Thursday afternoon’s two-vehicle crash southwest of Huron was incorrect on the initial report written by the Highway Patrol.
Department of Public Safety Public Information Officer Tony Mangan said the name of the individual is Luther Dittman.
His pickup truck and one driven by a 31-year-old Huron man whose name has not been released collided at about 212th Street and 395th Avenue.
Dittman is in a Sioux Falls hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to the Highway Patrol.
A GoFundMe account has been set up on Facebook.
Mangan said the Highway Patrol report indicates that charges are pending against Dittman although they may not have been filed by the state’s attorney.
