Scott Ward and Al Schmidt of Watertown and Scott Hansen of Garden City were three of the five drivers to win feature races Sunday night during a Father’s Day racing program at Casino Speedway.

A field of 80 cars competed — 19 late models and street stocks, 16 modifieds, 15 Midwest modifieds and 11 super stocks.

Ward won his second late model feature and Hansen his second Midwest modified feature of the season. Schmidt took his first street stock feature of 2020.

Huron drivers Dale Ames (modifieds) and Jeremy North (super stocks) also recorded their first feature wins of the season.

Ward prevailed in the 25-lap late model feature over Chad Becker of Aberdeen and David McDonald of Huron. Heat winners included Ward, Curt Kranz of Watertown and McDonald.

The 20-lap street stock feature went to Schmidt, who was followed across the finish line by Tyler Lamb of Clark and Chad Willmott of White. Wade Tirrell of White, Maria Broksieck of Goodwin and Andy Rossow of Florence took the heats.

Hansen topped the field in the 20 lap Midwest modified feature. Mike Nichols of Watertown was econd and Derek Rieck of Ortonville (Minn.) third. Earlier in the night, Nichols and Rieck won heat races in the division.

Ames beat Trevor Anderson of Watertown and Tyler Peterson of Hickson (N.D.) to the finish line in the 25-lap modified feature. Ames and Joseph Thomas of Glyndon (Minn.) won the heats.

North won the 15-lap super stock feature, finishing ahead of Shane Brick of Aberdeen and Doug VanLiere of Madison. VanLiere and Blake Whitlock of Watertown were heat winners.

The eighth Marilyn Olson Memorial Late Model Challenge special is scheduled for Sunday night at 6:30 p.m. Modifieds, Midwest modifieds and street stocks will also compete during the evening.
