HURON — Oahe scored 11 goals in the final two periods for a 13-5 victory against the Huron Lady All-Stars on Saturday at Bergman Arena.
The Lady Capitals led 2-0 after the opening period, but a pair of goals within the first two minutes of the second period pulled Huron even.
Ashley Busch had both goals for the Lady All-Stars. The first, which was just 11 seconds into the period, came on an unassisted shot, while the second was assisted by Kylee Small
Oahe regained the lead four minutes into the period, but Huron pulled even just over two minutes later with an unassisted goal by Small.
The Lady Capitals then took control by outscoring the host team 4-1 to close the second period with a 9-4 lead.
Azalea Rashaad had the final goal of the second period for the Lady All-Stars, with Small assisting on the play.
Oahe’s dominance continued in the final period, with six more goals to just one for Huron.
Busch earned a hat trick for the Lady All-Stars, with the final goal for the team. Fatima Reyes and Shelby Timm assisted on the play.
Ashton Lee finished with seven goals for the Lady Capitals, who improved to 2-5.
Huron held a 33-25 shots on goal advantage in the game. However, Oahe goalie Abagail Stewart-Fromm had 28 saves. Cassandra Valer had 12 saves for the Lady All-Stars, who are now 2-6-1.
