HITCHCOCK — The pairings have been set for the 281 Conference Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball Tournaments, which begin Friday and Saturday, respectively.
The girls’ tournament gets underway at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Wolsey-Wessington gym with third-seeded Highmore-Harrold playing sixth-seeded Wessington Springs. Top-seeded Wolsey-Wessington will face No. 8 Sunshine Bible Academy at 5 p.m.; fourth-seeded James Valley Christian plays No. 5 Hitchcock-Tulare at 6:30 p.m.; and second-seeded Sanborn Central/Woonsocket plays No. 7 Iroquois Doland at 8 p.m.
The consolation semifinals will be played at the JVC gym on Jan. 18 at 3:30 and 6:30 p.m., with the semifinals being held in Wolsey at 3:30 and 6 p.m.
The finals will be held on Jan. 20 at Huron Arena.
The seventh-place game is slated for 9 a.m., followed by the consolation title game at noon; the third-place game at 3 p.m.; and the championship game at 6 p.m.
The boys’ tournament begins at 1 p.m. Saturday in Wolsey with fourth-seeded Hitchcock-Tulare playing No. 5 Sanborn Central/Woonsocket. Second-seeded Wessington Springs plays No. 7 Iroquois/Doland at 2:30 p.m.; third-seeded James Valley Christian plays No. 6 Highmore-Harrold at 4 p.m.; and top-seeded Wolsey-Wessington plays No. 8 Sunshine Bible Academy at 5:30 p.m.
