Papa Luigi goes virtual

HURON — The annual Papa Luigi dinner event, benefiting the HRMC Foundation, has been canceled this year due to the pandemic. Although the in-person portion of Papa Luigi won’t take place, there will still be opportunities to have fun and support the future of quality local health care.

“The Papa Luigi online auction will open the week of March 21 and our BidPal platform makes the process easy,” explains Shawn Martin, HRMC Foundation executive director. “Once you register, you can start bidding on items right from your smartphone, tablet or computer. You can also track the progress of the auction and receive notifications to ensure you don’t get outbid.”

Once again, local businesses have donated an array of fantastic items, including food, golf, furniture, spa experiences, fun themed baskets and much more. You can preview the auction items prior to the opening of bidding.

“We are so incredibly humbled and grateful for the support of our sponsors and donors – especially during this pandemic,” said Martin. “The funds we raise through this special event are integral and necessary to our goal of maintaining quality health care close to home through supporting people, technology and wellness.”

The 50/50 drawing is always a big part of Papa Luigi. This year, the raffle has also been moved online.

You can buy an entry for $20 or six for $100. The final drawing will be held on Facebook Live on March 26 at 4 p.m.
