HURON — Free admission passes to this fall’s South Dakota State Fair are now available through the Read & Win program.
While appealing to children of all ages from across the state, this unique program encourages students to read during the summer in order to earn free admission to the 2019 State Fair.
The fair offers multiple ways to showcase youth achievement through livestock shows, art projects, and various innovative creations. In an effort to honor outstanding achievement academically, the state fair is partnering up with schools and public libraries to promote reading. The Read & Win program can complement a current reading program or serve as the foundation for a new reading program.
Registration information can be found online at www.sdstatefair.com or by contacting the State Fair office in Huron at 353-7340. To be eligible for free youth passes, register no later than Monday, Aug. 20. The Read & Win program is sponsored by Ag Performance.
