Sioux Falls — Phillip “Phil” Miedema, 79, formerly of Hitchcock, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at Ava’s House By Sanford.
A celebration of Phil’s life will be 11 a.m., Friday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls.
Phil’s family will be present for a memorial visitation from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at George Boom Funeral Home and On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Carol Miedema of Sioux Falls; daughter, Chris (Trent) Fliginger of Rapid City; son, Aaron (Michele) Miedema of Sioux Falls; grandchildren, Jacob Fliginger, Kane, Mearah, Aubrey, and Kael Miedema; four siblings, Mary (Jim) Covey of Des Moines, Iowa, Adele (Randy) Jacobson of Huron, Mark (Jan) Miedema of Bath, Maine, and Jean (Nabil) Nour, of Sioux Falls; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Phyllis Miedema.
