Pollock wins street stock main at Miller Central Speedway

MILLER — Zach Pollock of Miller reached Victory Lane for the second time in the past three outings to win the WISSOTA Street Stock Special on Saturday at Miller Central Speedway.

Pollock started on the pole and held off Andy Rossow of Florence, who started alongside him on the front row for the victory.

Jodie Michaelsohn of Aberdeen, who started 10th in the 16-car field, wheeled his way to a third-place finish. Luke Johnson of Miller was fourth, followed by Matt Goth of Huron.

Earning wins in the street stock heat races were Pollock, Rossow and Chris Serr of Aberdeen.
Chad Becker of Aberdeen inked his first win in more than two months at Miller Central Speedway in the WISSOTA late model division.

It was the third win of the season for Becker, who had wins at the track on May 15 and 22. It snapped a five-race win streak by Cole Searing of Huron.

Dustin Arthur of St. Lawrence was second, followed by David McDonald of Huron, Searing and Tyler McDonald of Huron.

Becker also won the lone heat race in the late model division.

Curtis Johnson of Miller snapped a six-race win streak by Jayden Michaelsohn of Aberdeen, with a victory Saturday in the Pump-N-Pak pure stock feature race. He started sixth in the 12-car field and held off Aaron Holan of Kimball for his second win of the season.

Michaelsohn was third, followed by Mike Hammill of Miller and Jace Baloun of Highmore.

Michaelsohn and Craig Hoffer of Winner won the pure stock heat races.

Trevor Nelson of Warner won his second straight feature in the WISSOTA super stock division.

It was Nelson’s sixth win of the season at the speedway.

Austin Arbogast of Huron was second, followed by Robert Schmitt of Redfield and Roger Kenaston of Miller.

Nelson also claimed the win in the lone super stock heat race.

Dale Ames of Huron won his third main event of the season in the WISSOTA modified division. He held off Mike Stearns of Hecla, who had won the previous two racing events at MCS.

Trevor Anderson of Watertown, was third, followed by Nick Wranek of Harrisburg and Matt Heinzerling of Spearfish.

Stearns was the winner in the lone modified heat race.

Heinzerling broke into the win column with a victory in the WISSOTA Midwest modified feature race. He started second and held off Mike Nichols of Watertown, who started ninth, for the win in the 18-care main event.

Lorin Johnson of Miller was third, followed by his son, Lane, and Jake Wranek of Winner was fifth.

Winning Midwest modified heat races were Heinzerling, Wranek and Dawson Zabel of Selby.

All six classes will be back in action Saturday at Miller Central Speedway. The green flag will drop at 7 p.m.
