Post 7 wins pair of games

RENNER — Huron Post 7 collected a pair of wins during the opening day of the Post 307 Legion Tournament on Friday.
Huron tallied a 10-7 victory against Yankton in the opeining game.
Matt Katz highlighted the offensive effort for Post 7 with a three-run home run. Rick Strubel also pushed three runs across the plate with a triple.

Deion Waddles, Bryce Steffen and Parker DeJean all had two hits in the game for Huron.
Behind a complete-game effort on the mound by Walker Schiltz, Post 7 earned a 6-3 victory against Norfolk, Neb., in the second game.
Schiltz allowed all three runs with five strikeouts during seven innings of work. He helped himself offensively, with a home run.
Tyler Lien, Emerson Devries and Waddle each had a hit in the game.
Huron was scheduled to face Viroqua, Wis., and Renner on Saturday at Sioux Falls Stadium. Results from those games were not available at press time.
The tournament will conclude today in Renner.
