Rehearsals are in full swing for the next QuaterTon production of the hilarious comedy, “Rumors” by Neil Simon. The cast has been working hard on memorizing lines and comedic timing to bring this laugh a minute American farce to the stage Oct. 13-15 and 20-22 at the De Smet Event Center. Times are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Call 605-854-6060 for tickets. Cast members include, back row, from left, Beverly Jensen of Arlington, Trey Karlen, Virginia Buchheim and Jennifer Barnard, all of De Smet; and front, Broderick Wendland of Howard, Tina Kees, Jim Thomas, Tristin Gruenhagen, Kristy Hubbard and Larry Janish, all of De Smet. The play is about upper class couples who are all invited to an evening out to celebrate their friends’ 10th wedding anniversary. Only as they begin to arrive, they realize the wife is missing and the husband has a gunshot wound to the earlobe. Rumors fly as the couples try to figure out what has happened before the police arrive.
