Rachel Huet, 85, of Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS — Rachel Rita Jimenez Huet, formerly of Huron, completed her life’s journey at the Ava’s Hospice House in Sioux Falls Sunday August 5, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born February 10, 1933, in Browley, Calif. to Manuel and Felipa (Valejo) Jimenez. She graduated from Fresno General Hospital School of Nursing. It was here that she met and fell in love with Dr. William (Bill) Huet, and one short year later they were married July 2, 1955.
Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Diane (Kevin) Kalkman of Huron, William (Kristie) Huet of Sioux Falls, Tony (Anthony) (Beverley) Huet of Coppell, Texas, R. Robin (Bob) Linneman of Clark, Dr. Lorraine (Dan) Huet-Holm of Sioux Falls,  and David (Kim) Huet of Sioux Falls; sister, Coco Espino of Selma, Calif. In addition to her sister and children, she is survived by 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation with her family present will be from 12 p.m. until her funeral mass at 2 p.m., Monday, August 13, at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish in Sioux Falls. A reception with light refreshments will be held immediately following the funeral mass at Holy Spirit Parish.
A second visitation with the family present will be from 12 to 1:45 p.m., Tuesday, August 14, at Welter Funeral Home in Huron followed by interment at 2 p.m. at St. Martin’s Cemetery in Huron. A reception with light refreshments will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Huron immediately following the committal service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Dacotah Bank to be used to purchase a memorial for Rachel.
