LASāVEGAS, Nev. — Randy Hickle, 69, of Las Vegas, Nev., passed away Friday, December 22, 2017, at work from a heart attack.
At his request, there will be no services.
Randy was born February 13, 1948, to Harold and Pearl (Hoops) Hickle. He attended school in Bonilla and Hitchcock. He joined the National Guard in 1969 and retired in 1975.
He was united in marriage to Pat Murray in 1969. They later divorced. He attended mechanic school in 1969, and later opened Randy’s Auto Repair in Huron. He was united in marriage to Dawn Nelson Lemme in 1982. They moved to Sioux Falls in 1987, where he worked in the automotive department for Kmart. Eventually the couple moved to Las Vegas, Nev. His greatest passion was racing cars at the Huron, Miller and Madison dirt tracks where he had many wins and trophies before retiring in 1987.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn; children, Jody (Jan) Lemme, Heather (Sean) Evans, Michele (Scott) Tyge, and Toby (Linda) Lemme; eight grandchildren; sister-in-law, Paige (Al) Kruse of Bryant; brother-in-law, Sheldon (Bev) Nelson of Northborough, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Sheryl Hickle of Huron; and sister LaVon (Phil) Martinec of Sioux Falls.
