Recognizing SHE Award winners

HURON — The annual SHE Award Banquet was held Oct. 14 at the Nordby Exhibit Hall, in conjunction with the South Dakota Women’s Expo.
The SHE recognition award program focuses on women in Beadle County.  The SHE stands for Strength~Humility~
Empowering and Sincere~
Honor~Ethical.

Awards presented included the Community Service and Humanitarian Award, Tomorrows Leaders, Refugee & Immigrant Women of Excellence, and the newest category, Empowering SHE, recognizing a business that actively supports women in the workplace.
Rhonda Kludt was named winner of the Community Service Award; Cindy Niederbaumer was named Tomorrow’s Leader; and Lah Maypaw Soe, was presented the Refugee & Immigrant Women of Excellence award.
Dakotaland Federal Credit Union was the first employer to receive the Empowering SHE Award for promoting a strong female workforce.
The SHE Awards are presented by Avail Wealth.
