VERMILLION — Sioux Falls Christian powered ahead by 13 strokes in the team scores to take the title in the Class A boys’ state golf championship at the Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion on Tuesday.
Tea Area was second at 347, Madison in third at 362, Parkston tallied 344 for fourth, while in fifth was Vermillion with a score of 358. Redfield finished in 12th place with a total of 407.
Lance Christensen of Little Wound finished as top player at 157, Madison’s Keaton Nighbert took second at 162, one stroke behind was Carson Van Beek for Sioux Falls Christian, while Nate Buisker of Sioux Valley and Cooper Leslie of Tea Area tied for fourth.
Isaac Suchor led Redfield in 32nd place with a score of 180, Jaxon Frankenstein was in 71st at 202. Dylan Stephens tallied 205, while Jaxon Campbell finished at 245.
