HURON — Henry Hanten Owner of H&S Limo Service and his wife/partner Sandy Hanten, have undergone some decorative renovations and maintenance care to their Party Bus, adding some striking new features for clients to enjoy.
“We wanted our bus to stand out,” explained Henry. “That’s why we added the diamond plating to the bottom, because you don’t see too many busses with that.”
Some new snazzy additions include a brand new bar system, which was built specifically for the bus, a stereo and base woofer were also added, plus much more.
“We also put new pergo flooring in and the outside has also been completely redone,” Henry said. “The old floor was a black ceramic tile and there was no lighting before, so we added new lighting. We’ve done a lot of maintenance to get it where we got it now.”
The renovations took place during the month of May, Henry explained the paint job alone was approximately $5,800, plus extra costs and time, which was all worth it.

“I did a lot of the work myself, except for the bar cabinet, which we really like. I had that built which cost approximately $300,” Henry explained.
Increasing the quality of the client experience on the party bus, whatever the occasion may be, brings a more enjoyable atmosphere and luxurious feel to the occasion. The hopes for business growth and customer satisfaction have been developing well since the renovations.
“Business is doing good,” said Henry. “Our bookings have been up since renovation. We have five bookings for the limo and bus services this month, which is good, and we are always hoping to bring those numbers up.”
Many different groups and occasions utilize the services offered by H&S, including weddings, bachelorette/bachelor parties and concert runs to Sioux Falls. But they also support the community by being involved in runs for benefits, donating time and more.
“Once a year we do a benefit ride in Minneapolis for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; the hospital is in Memphis, Tennessee. That takes place the second weekend in January every year. We’ve done this for three years now,” Henry said. “Its called Teen Gala. They work with kids at the schools to raise money and the kid that brings in the most money gets a limo ride for themselves and seven other friends to the party for the benefit, which we donate our time for. We also do a poker run called Lefty’s Ride out of Redfield, which took place on June 23. I take some participants on the bus while others ride their motorcycles.”
With all the new additions, the owners are hoping to keep moving forward with the business growth.
“Our goals are to expand in clientele and equipment,” explained Henry. “What I would like to do is find a motor home that has slide outs, take the bedroom out and put a dance floor in there, and call it the The Party House. We would like to grow at a good pace, not get too big too fast.”
