WATERTOWN — Robert J. “Bob” Ratliff, 74, of Watertown, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Prairie Lakes Hospital.
Funeral mass will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 18, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church with a scripture service at 7 p.m. Interment with military honors will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery at Watertown.
Robert John Ratliff was born June 3, 1942, in Huron to Dean and Helen (Batien) Ratliff and grew up near Carpenter. In 1967, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1969. He was united in marriage to Carol Ann Heard September 23, 1973. They made their home in Watertown where he worked as a mechanic for a number of dealerships. He was an active member of the Boy Scouts, the Immaculate Conception Church, and the American Legion.
Robert is survived by his children, Tonya (Eric) Senger of Aberdeen, John (Joanna Lane) Ratliff of Louisville, Ky., Teresa (Rich) Remmers and Dean (Jaimie) Ratliff of Watertown; brothers, Lyle Ratliff of Watertown, and Alan (Brenda) Ratliff of Lennox; sister, Lila (Greg) Williamson of Pipestone, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Carol.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials may be given to the United Way.
