Robert “Bobby Jo” Gednalske Sr., 83, of Huron

HURON — Robert “Bobby Jo” Gednalske Sr., 83, of Huron, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Sanford Medical Center surrounded by family.


A celebration of life with family attending will be held Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Fire Pit Pizza.


Robert Joseph Gednalske Sr. was born June 25, 1939, to Bert and Mildred Gednalske in Brookings. He grew up in Brookings and attended Brookings High School. On March 15, 1958, he married Anna Clark. They had two children, Robyn and Robert Jr. In 1967, they moved to Huron where he owned and operated several businesses as well as working for Huron Manufacturing for over 50 years until retirement. Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting, westerns, cigars and riding his motorcycle to Sturgis.


Survivors include his wife, Ann of Huron; daughter, Robyn Worrall of Brookings; son, Robert (Lori) Gednalske Jr. of Huron; granddaughter, Jennifer (Joe) Mees of Brookings; great-granddaughters, Evelyn and Hailey Mees; brothers, Bert (Sharon) Gednalske, Richard (Carol) Heath and Gary (Jean) Heath; as well as many other in-laws, out-laws, family, and friends.


He was preceded in death by his father, Bert; mother, Mildred; step-father, Richard; sister-in-law, Carol Thompson; sister-in-law, Karen Clark; brother-in-law, Gordon Lee; brother-in-law, Melvin Lee; and son-in-Law, Roger Worrall.
