HURON — Robert J. Keleher, 82, of Huron, passed away Monday, April 29, 2019, at SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron.
His funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 7, at Welter Funeral Home with burial to follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in Huron. Visitation with the family present, will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Welter Funeral Home or one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
Robert John Keleher was born September 10, 1936, in Woonsocket to parents John and Regina (Thill) Keleher. He attended school in Woonsocket, graduating from Woonsocket High School. Robert married Deanne Hannah in Woonsocket June 15, 1956. To this union, four children were born.
Bob was a concrete contractor for many years, passing down the business to his sons. He also enjoyed raising cattle, playing baseball in his younger years, oil painting nature scenes, and watching golf and the Denver Broncos. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and spending time at the farm.
Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife, Deanne of Huron; sons, Tim (Kim) Keleher, and Todd (Teresa) Keleher, all of Huron; daughters Debbie (Forest) Goody of Denver, Colo., and Sheri (Norm) Kaufman of Vermillion; 11 grandchildren, Jeff, Nicole, Christa, Danielle, Jessi, Jemma, Natalie, Alex, Matdalynn, Victoriah, and Kayeleigh; four great-grandchildren, Burke, Vera-Kate, Isaac, and Dexter; two brothers, Jerome, and Redel; and six sisters, Delores, Darlene, Judy, Virginia, Rita, and LaZanne.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
