BOISE, Idaho — Robert Milton Baltzer, 96, of Boise, Idaho and formerly of Huron, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017, in Boise surrounded by his family.
A private ceremony and burial took place in North Hills, Calif.
Robert Milton Baltzer was born May, 8, 1921, in Tripp to Emanuel and Bertha (Redmann) Balzer. He graduated from Wessington Springs in 1938. He enlisted and served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1946.
He was united in marriage to Ray Anna Larcolm. He held various jobs including farming until be became employed by Western Airlines at the Huron Regional Airport. He then re-located with the airlines to Los Angeles, Ca. After the death of his first wife, he was united in marriage to Edna Hofer Stahl. After a gradual decline in his health, he moved to Boise, Idaho, to be closer to family
He is survived by his daughters, Sandra and Doris; grandchildren, Lona, Lorrie, Eliza, Jeremy, Maxie, David and Benjamin; great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Rayanna, Karalynn, Sophia, Ester, Dalton, Joshua, Matthew, Christopher, Jerry, Maxie, Nathan, Jace, Derek and Issac; and brother Harry Baltzer of Huron.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Ray Anna, and Edna; and his son, Gerald David, who died of asbestos lung cancer in 1988.
The family wishes to sincerely thank everyone for their support and love during this time.
