HOWARD — Rosalyn “Rosie” Mae Mentele, 68, of Howard, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Society in Howard.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 13, at St. Agatha Catholic Church at Howard with burial to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at Howard. Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Monday at Willoughby Funeral Home of Howard and resume at the catholic church at 6 p.m. with a Scripture and Rosary service to be said at 7 p.m.
Rosalyn Mae Tyrrell was born September 19, 1948, in Huron to Francis and Lily (Davis) Tyrrell. She graduated in 1966 from St. Agatha Catholic School in Howard. She was united in marriage to Thomas Robert Mentele on August 20, 1966. The couple lived in Howard, where she eventually started her own embroidery business in 1989. She was a member of St. Agatha Catholic Church and belonged to the Altar Society
She is survived by her husband; children, Terry (Anidal) Mentele of Boston, Ma., and Lisa Hoffman of Howard; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings, Bernard (Mary) Tyrrell of Sioux Falls, Ronald (RaNae) Tyrrell of Rapid City, Jonathan Tyrrell of Rapid City, Denise Callies of Mitchell, Mary Beth (Bill) Coughlin of Las Vegas, Nev., and Kaylean (Bob) Lee of Sioux Center, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Ann Myers.
