WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Roxanne Y. Brunsen, 81, of Wessington Springs, passed away Monday, July 8, 2019, at the Weskota Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday July 12, at the Foothills Fellowship Church. Buria will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery at Wessington Springs. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Basham Funeral Home in Wessington Springs and one hour prior to the service
Roxanne Y. Brunsen was born February 23, 1938, in Lane to Albert and Gladys (Fritz) Kruse. She was united in marriage to Alfred Brunsen August 5, 1956. Throughout the years, she worked as a cook at a hospital and a nursing home and had also been employed by Job Service in Mitchell.
She is survived by her sons, Doyle (Karin) of Lansing, Mich., Michael (special friend, Barb) of Wessington Springs; and Allen (Doris) of Mitchell; nine grandchildren, Matthaew (Mindy), Justin, Wyatt, Jeffry (Jessica), Jarrett (Sara), Jacob, Benjamin, Jacey and Trinity; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Marlin (Gwen) Kruse, Paul (Julie) Kruse, Dorcas Samman, and Randee (Gary) Beigh; sister-in-law, Linda Kruse; brother-in-law, Harold Brunsen; and many nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her husband; her parents; and sisters, June Godfrey, and Shirley Jean.
