PIERRE — Royce Loesch, 73 of Pierre, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, July 18, at Faith Lutheran Church in Pierre. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Royce Ray Loesch was born September 4, 1945, in Faulkton to David and Alice (Koeppel) Loesch. He served his country during the Vietnam War and attended S.D. Barber College in Sioux Falls. He was united in marriage to Jeannine (Bogh) Loesch from Huron. The couple owned and operated Dakota Barbers in Pierre for over 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannine; sons, Jeff (Leanne) of Pierre, and Justin of Mobridge; four grandchildren; mother-in-law, Wanda Bogh of Huron; brothers, Lester Hortter of Tucson Ariz., Donald Loesch of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Ivan Loesch of Minn., and Keith Loesch Lee of Summit Mo., and sister-in-law, Elaine (Jim) Adams of Huron.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be directed to American Legion Post #20 in Ft. Pierre and Faith Lutheran Church.
