MADISON — Vivian (Babe) Ruby Hansen, 86, of Madison, formerly of Winfred, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018, at the Madison Regional Health System in Madison.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 25, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Howard with burial in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Willoughby Funeral Home in Howard.
Vivian Ruby Gunderson was born May 3, 1932, at Winfred to Roy and Verna (Patro) Gunderson. She was united in marriage to James Hansen November 23, 1949.
She helped James with his woodworking projects, attended  craft fairs, and worked at Ravens in Madison. The couple also enjoyed square dancing.
She is survived by her children, Larry Hansen of Madison, Jerry (Kathleen) Hansen of Beaver Creek, Minn., James Jr. (and friend Amiee) of Madison, Pam (Ken) Kling of Lemmon; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; stepsister-in-law, Bernie Jacobson of Howard; stepbrother, Wally Jacobson of Howard; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Susan Hansen; half-siblings, Vernon, Virgil, Geraldine, Jean and Helen Gunderson; stepbrother, Elwood Jacobson; and granddaughter, Sarah Genzlinger.
