Wednesday was signing day for football players across the nation and two of the Heartland region’s top athletes were among those to commit to a school next fall. Miller’s Karst Hunter, left, and teammate Jharret Bloomenrader both signed national letters of intent with South Dakota State University. Standing behind the signers is Rustler coach Will Castle.
Bloomenrader caught 20 passes this season from his tight end position, for 181 yards and four touchdowns. Hunter has earned All-State recognition for the past three years as the Rustler’s quarterback. He has thrown for 3,900 yards and rushed for another 3,300, with 81 total touchdowns.
