BALDWIN, Wisc. — Sanden James Voorhees, 15, of Baldwin, Wisc., passed away unexpectedly Saturday October 14, 2017, at his home.
Funeral Service will be 2 p.m., Friday, October 20, at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1350 Florence St., in Baldwin, Wisc. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton St. in Baldwin, Wisc. and one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
Sanden was born November 5, 2001, on a farm in rural Beadle County to Angela Brink and Geoffrey Voorhees. He attended school in Huron until 2008, when his family moved to Baldwin. He was currently a sophomore at the Baldwin-Woodville High School and a member of the wrestling club. He was an avid collector of knives, rocks, tools, and engines and had an incredible love for the outdoors.
He is survived by his parents, Angela Brink of Sioux Falls, Geoff (Onelia) Voorhees of Baldwin, Wisc.; siblings, Hannah, Osborn, Mia, and Jayden Voorhees; grandparents, Milton and Cathy Schavee of Sioux Falls, and Roger and Leanne Voorhees of Huron; step-grandparents, Vincente and Rita Valero of Baldwin, Wisc.; great-grandmother, Mary Lou Wallenstein of Huron; aunt, Michelle (Montie) Harmdierks of Alpena; a nephew, Adrian Voorhees; cousins and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Richard Wallenstein, and Kenneth and Georgia Voorhees.
