Saturday Plainsman delayed

With the continued directive for no travel in the Plainsman coverage area, the decision has been made to delay delivery of the Saturday, April 14 edition of the Huron Plainsman until Sunday. Subscribers will receive both Saturday and Sunday papers on Sunday morning, as long as the forecast holds and the blizzard conditions ease as expected on Saturday afternoon.

The third and final day of this year’s spring cleanup is Saturday, but because of inclement weather residents planning to bring loads to the rubble site are asked to call ahead.
The number to call is 353-8542.
Depending on snowfall amounts, solid waste crews may be busy moving snow.
Items that can be brought out with the April utility bill include household garbage, tires, metal, Freon units, appliances, trees, wood, electronics, car batteries, mattresses, furniture, carpeting and construction materials.
Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today.

Most events are cancelled or postponed, so plan to call ahead and make sure before you head out.
