HURON — Saw Tha Htoo, 68, of Huron, answered the call of Heaven and said goodbye to his friends and family, Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls.
His funeral service was Sunday, May 19, at Welter Funeral Home in Huron followed by burial in Riverside Cemetery.
Saw Tha Htoo was born November 7, 1950, in Ayahwaty Division, Maw La Myint, Takupwalu village to Saw To Noe and Naw Ber Ray. He is the third child of 10 siblings. In 1975, he married Naw Lue Lu and together they had four beautiful children.
He moved to Umpium Refugee Camp in 2003. In 2009, by the grace of God, Saw Tha Htoo and his family were able to resettle in America. Initially in Minnesota, Saw Tha Htoo relocated to Huron for job opportunities.
He is survived by his loving wife three sons; one daughter; and nine beautiful grandchildren.
