Second-graders in Team 4 at Madison 2-3 Center are growing skills to get ready for third grade. In math, students are working on a variety of concepts from multi-digit addition to multi-digit subtraction to telling time and counting coins. In writing, they continue to work on writing good sentences and expanding writing and adding details to make writing more interesting for the reader. In reading, they are focusing on biographies. Learning about new and different people while thinking about the sequence of events in the story and their impact on society. As the year draws closer to the end, staff look forward to all the fun things that happen, but also know it will cause anxiety for some of our kiddos.
