HURON — Scott Williams, 49, of Huron passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at his residence.
His private memorial service will be at a later date.
Scott Steven Williams was born August 29, 1968, at Mitchell to John Lester and Bette Jo (Ulrich) Williams. In 1986, he graduated from Tripp High School and four years later graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Black Hills State University. After college, he joined the family car dealership in Tripp with his father. Then later Scott acquired and operated Dell Rapids Chevrolet Pontiac.
He loved boats, water skiing, Harley Davidsons, and radio-controlled airplanes. He acquired a pilot’s license and flew his own plane. He loved attending the Minnesota State Fair - he had a knack for winning the huge stuffed animals on the midway.
He is survived by his mother and her husband, Bette Jo Williams and Larry B Ayres of Sioux Falls; his sister, Susan Williams of Minneapolis Minn.; his uncle and his wife, Ken and June Ulrich of Pierre; and his nephew, Logan. He is also survived by his beloved schnauzer, Cinder; and his ex-wife and good friend, Heather.
He was preceded in death by his father, John; and grandparents.
