BROOKINGS — South Dakota State University junior Jacey Hupp of Huron will be making her third-straight trip to the College National Finals Rodeo, which is scheduled for June 10-16 in Casper, Wyo.
Hupp, a Huron graduate, is a member of the SDSU women’s team, which finished as the reserve region champion this season.
Hupp, who was the goat tying and reserve all-around champion in the region, will compete in both events at the CNFR.

She finished third in goat tying at the 2016 CNFR.
“I am very proud and excited for the team we have qualified this year,” SDSU rodeo coach Ron Skovly said. “With the CNFR experience coming from Jacey, Madison (Rau) and Gannon Gustafson (Hanley Falls, Minn.), the other qualifiers will have a lot of help adjusting to the CNFR atmosphere, which is like no other rodeo.”
More than 400 cowboys and cowgirls from more than 100 universities and colleges will compete in the CNFR at the 9,700-seat Casper Events Center.
Coverage of the perfermances will air on ESPNU in June.
