SIOUX FALLS — Woonsocket School Board Vice Chair Lisa Snedeker was recently elected as the Second Vice President of the Associated School Boards of South Dakota.
ASBSD’s Second Vice President serves an integral role on the Association’s Executive Committee, which comprises the leadership team of the 18-member Board of Directors.

Snedeker currently serves as the representative of the Southeast Region’s 265 and Under enrollment category. She has served on the ASBSD Board of Directors since 2018 and has represented her local board at ASBSD’s Delegate Assembly and as their Legislative Action Network member.
The 2019-20 school year marks Snedeker’s fifth as a member of the Woonsocket school board, on which she has served as board chair for one year and vice chair for three years and has been a member of the Community Development Committee. She is a Branch Manager and Training Coordinator for Dakotaland Federal Credit Union.
“Lisa has a great passion for ensuring students receive an excellent public education in her local district and across South Dakota,” ASBSD Executive Director Wade Pogany said. “That passion combined with her knowledge of school board work make her an ideal candidate for her new role.”
“We look forward to having her in a leadership role on the ASBSD Board of Directors.”
