HURON — SunQuest Healthcare Center will host numerous events as part of National Skilled Nursing Home Week which runs from May 13 to May 19. The theme for this year’s national observance, “Celebrating Life’s Stories,” pays homage to the diverse set of perspectives that residents, families, and staff bring to everyday interactions.
Monday, May 14 will serve as “Resident Appreciation Day” at SunQuest. On this day, the residents choose the menus for each meal of the day and will have an afternoon event of celebrating with narratives on some of each of their most significant life events, relationships, and experiences to cultivate a shared sense of purpose at the center and in the surrounding community. They will also be entertained with some live music by Huron locals, Lauren Kattner and Ry Solem.
Other events planned for the week at SunQuest Healthcare:
• Tuesday, May 15, 1 p.m. - Former Resident Luncheon
