Terry Lee Miedema was born on November 1, 1956, in Huron to parents James H. and Beverly (Weese) Miedema. Terry grew up on the family farm near Broadland with his sisters, attending Broadland Country School and graduating from Hitchcock High School in 1975. Terry farmed with his dad after high school.
While roller skating, Terry met Pam Christensen. They married on June 30, 1978, in Huron. To this union, two children were born, Anne and Justin. Terry and Pam resided on the farm where they raised their family. As his son got older, Terry farmed with him.
Terry loved to hunt and trap shoot. In his younger years he enjoyed roller skating and bowling. As his kids were involved in many activities, Terry never missed an event his kids were a part of. As his family grew, he loved to spend time with his grandkids. Farm and Family were his priorities his whole life.
Grateful for having shared in his life is his wife, Pam of Huron; children, Anne (Ron) Zemlicka-Hayes of West Fargo, N.D., and Justin (Alisha) Miedema of Broadland; grandchildren, Emma Zemlicka-Hayes, Finn Zemlicka-Hayes and Jameson Miedema; his sisters, twin Merry (Greg) Peck, Pam (John) VanDyck and Janet Spielman; niece, Sarah (Casey) Knouse; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Ron and Jean Christensen; and his uncles.
