The continuing gift

Never underestimate the power of generosity and don’t assume it ends with your kindness.
This helmet was donated to the Lori Murphy Benefit by J&J Motorsports of Huron, and it was sold by Ben Meyer of Meyer Auction who donated his time at the auction.
Shaun Schnathorst of Xtreme Graphics in Huron donated a portion of the expense to custom paint it for whomever buys it, who turned out to be Doug Bjorke.

Bjorke purchased the helmet at the auction and paid Xtreme Graphics the balance needed to complete the custom paint job. Bjorke then turned around and donated the now newly custom-painted helmet to the Windriders ABATE motorcycle group, with the suggestion that they donate it to James Valley Shrine Club for their upcoming Indoor Ice Fishing Tournament.
Which they did.
The Windriders agreed with Bjorke’s suggestion and donated the helmet to the Shrine Club.
Now on its second leg of fundraising, the helmet will be auctioned off Jan. 20, 2018, during the indoor ice fishing tournament at the Huron Community Campus Center. For more information on the ice fishing tournament, contact Dave Peterson at 350-6974.
And stay tuned to see where the helmet winds up and whom it may help out next.
