MITCHELL — Sha Sher had four goals to help the Huron boys’ soccer team to an 8-0 victory against Mitchell on Thursday.

“It was a great game tonight by the boys,” Huron coach Leah Branaugh said. “They really worked the ball and were able to get good looks on the ball.”

Sher had just one of his four goals in the opening half, which ended with the Tigers holding a 4-0 lead.

Ronaldo Pineda opened the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 12th minute and just two minutes later Sher found the net for his first goal on a pass from Eduardo Trujillo.

A minute later, the duo switched roles and Trujillo scored on a pass from Sher to make it 3-0.

Trujillo then scored on an unassisted shot in the 38th minute to give Huron a 4-0 advantage at the break.

The Tigers then scored three goals during the first seven minutes of the second half. Sher found the net on an unassisted shot for his second goal of the game in the 42nd minute.

Thai Say scored in the 45th minuted on a pass from Sha Mu, before Sher capped the scoring with a pair of goals on passes from Trujillo in the 47th and 60th minutes.

“Eduardo Trujillo and Sha Sher really led our offense tonight with goals and assists. Sher even scored four goals on his birthday,” Branaugh said. “Our defense did a great job of shutting down shots from Mitchell and our goalies combined for a shutout.”

Alex Bautista had two saves for the Tigers in the net, while Nick Weir had a save.

Huron got past Mitchell 5-0 in the junior varsity boys’ game.

Biat Say had two goals, while Lay Thaw, Kay Doh and Moo Gay each had a goal.
