MITCHELL — The Huron girls’ tennis team earned a split during a triangular to open the season Tuesday.

The Tigers edged Aberdeen Roncalli 5-4, but were blanked 9-0 by Mitchell.

Huron won four of the six singles matches against the Cavaliers.

Collecting wins for the Tigers were AnneClaire Rubish at No. 1, Chalie Say at No. 3, Say Glay at No. 4 and Madeline Kleinsasser at No. 6

Glay and Paw Kler Mood combined to earn a win for the Tigers in No. 3 doubles to secure the victory in the match.

Huron will be back in action today, when it travels to face Lennox, Vermillion and Harrisburg in a quadrangular meet in Harrisburg at 9 a.m.
