Huron tennis team competes against Milbank and Pierre

HURON — The Huron Tigers tennis team played in their third competition in four days Tuesday, blanking the Milbank Bulldogs 9-0, but dropping a tough 5-4 match to the Pierre Governors.
Against Milbank, Brenden Schlader, Reese Uecker, Kevin Baltzer, Eh Dah, Roger Puterbaugh and Eh Kalu swept their Bulldog opponents, surrendering only three games in the six matches, including shutouts by Schlader, Baltzer and Dah.
Things didn’t change much in the doubles matches, As Tyrese Theus joined Puterbaugh for a shutout win at No. 2 and Moo Sher Say teamed with Eh Kalu in a win at No. 3. Schlader/Uecker took the No. 1 doubles win.
The Pierre match was close from the very start. The Governors took wins in the No. 1, No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6 singles matches, while Uecker won at No. 2, taking a tough 5-7, 6-1, 10-2 win. Eh Dah also won his match, breezing past his opponent 6-0, 6-0.

No. 4 - Eh Dah (H) defeated Blake Judson 6-0, 6-0
No. 5 - Grant Judson (P) defeated Roger Puterbaugh 6-1, 6-1
No. 6 - Luke Leingang (P) defeated Eh Kalu 2-6, 6-3, 7-10
Doubles
No. 1 - Weinsmann/Hanson defeated Schlader/Uecker 6-4, 6-4
No. 2 - Tyrese Theus/Puterbaugh defeated Warne Cole Nelson 6-3, 7-5
No. 3 - Eh Kalu/Moo Sher defeated G. Judson/Davis 4-6, 6-4, 10-8
