Tigers win tourney title

The Huron Tigers boys went 5-0 and claimed the championship of the Pacesetter Varsity Minnesota Invitational Tournament last weekend.
Huron beat Sauk Rapids-Rice 64-52 in the championship game at College of St. Benedict on Sunday, after getting past Oak Grove (ND) 79-47 in the semifinals.
On Saturday, in pool play, the Tigers beat Hancock 47-36, Litchfield 38-32 and Crosby-Ironton 59-33.

Huron players are Jaren Schley, Tanner Evers, Derrick Siemonsma, Teegan Evers, Landon Hegg, Hayden Hegg, Jeff McGirr, Mason Rodell, Blake Cruse, Cooper Fryberger, and Nathan Boehrns. Their coach is John Schouten.
Pacesetter, based in Paynesville, MN, conducts basketball and volleyball camps, and hosts basketball tournaments in a five-state area.
