MARATHON, Fla. — Todd Edward Askew, 57, of Marathon, Fla., passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Crystal Health Hospice Care of complications from numerous strokes and heart issues. 
A celebration of Todd’s life will be held in the spring.
Todd was born in Jacksonville, Fla. May 5, 1961, but grew up in S. D. where he lived until his graduation from Huron High School in 1979. He then moved to Marathon Fla. He worked for Kohler Construction, Island Auto Supply, Duck Key Marina and Advance Auto Parts.  
He was united in marriage to Karen (Bunny) Askew December 8, 1985. He was an avid racing fan - NASCAR, Formula One, and Funny Cars; he loved following all sports. His hobbies were N-Scale trains and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; parents, Edward and Donna Askew of De Smet; brother, Lynn (Anne) Askew of Apple Valley Minn. and their children, Danielle and Lucas; sister, Brenda Houge of Huron and her children, Derek and Dylan; brother, Jason Askew of Vermillion and his children, Maxwell, Brody, Josie and Hazel; mother-in-law, Carol Lers, of Pewaukee, Wisc.; brother-in-law, Randy (Buck) Buchta of Mayville, Wisc. and his children, Eli, and Miranda; and sister-in-law Shari (Richard) Zergiebel of Kekoskee, WI.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eva  and Leo Sherman.
