Top-ranked Colman-Egan wins against De Smet

DE SMET — In a game shortened by inclement weather, it was Colman-Egan recording a 28-0 victory to spoil homecoming for the De Smet Bulldogs on Friday.
The Hawks, who are the top-ranked team in Class 9B, improved to 5-0 with the win.
Bodee Groos carried the ball four times for 52 yards and two touchdowns to lead Colman-Egan. He also completed two of three passes for 69 yards, including a 42-yard touchdown to Dalton Voelken.
Keth Crisp had the other touchdown for the Hawks. He finished the game with three carries for 50 yards.

De Smet, which had won three in a row, is now 3-3.
Cade Birkel rushed five times for 46 yards to lead the Bulldogs from his quarterback spot. Zach Wolkow added 17 yards on five carries.
Colman-Egan plays Oldham-Ramona/Rutland on Friday in Rutland, while De Smet travels to face Elkton/Lake Benton in Elkton on Friday.
