Toupal sixth at NLBFR

GUTHRIE, Okla. — Lily Toupal of Huron finished sixth overall in the pole bending during the National Little Britches Finals Rodeo, which ended its six-day run Sunday. She was joined at the event by her sister, Raya.

Lily Toupal qualified in the pole bending and barrel racing and reached short go in both events.

In the first go, Lily Toupal had a time of 23.14 seconds in pole bending to finish second in the performance. She backed that up with a 22.04 second run in the second go to take second in the performance and sixth overall, and had a no time in the short go.

In barrel racing, Lily Toupal had a 15.17 second run in the second go to take second in the performance after posting a 20.80 second showing in the first go. She had a 15.27 second run in the short go to put her 14th.

Raya Toupal qualified in the flag race and used a time of 10.26 seconds to finish sixth in the first go.

She had a no time in the second go.
