HURON — Trisha Kopriva, 26, of Huron, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019, at Sioux Falls.
Her funeral service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, February 19, at the Kuhler Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Trisha Rose Kopriva was born March 12, 1992, to Charles Kopriva and Andrea (Stahl) Mies at Rapid City. She attended Custer High School until 2006, when she transferred to Huron High School. She had worked in the food industry and at the Tamarac Apartments. She was united in marriage to Lyonel Young April 2010. The couple divorced in December 2016.
She is survived by her children, Lestat James Young, December Rose Young and Zaylee Stella Young, and their foster parents, Ben and Marie Chase, all of Huron; mother, Andrea Mies (Brad Chapman) of Huron; father, Charles Kopriva (Sandra Wood) of Rapid City; brothers, Christopher (Lauren) Kopriva of Belle Fourche, and Joseph Kopriva of Rapid City; grandfather, Gregory Kopriva (Kathryn Dennis) of Rapid City; step-grandparents, Gene and Sharon Chapman of Huron; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Betty Jo Hunter, Rose Kopriva, Duane Hunter, Sr., and Robert John Stahl, Sr.
